Loving God and People

    At the center of our work is to love and worship God our Father, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Everything we do should be an expression and reflection of this love. God’s acceptance and forgiveness is the motivating force which gives us the ability, time and again, to love and accept other people. In doing this we look for the guidance and working of the Holy Spirit.

Leaders who Serve

    In accordance with the example given to us by Jesus, (Philippians 2) everything we do should be carried out in an attitude of service Integrated Discipleship and Understanding of the Kingdom of God
God’s rule is not limited to the religious part of our life but affects all areas of life, both personal and within society.   For this reason our commitment is not only to the Christian church, but is also directed to the community as a whole.   Our work respects and supports local churches, but is not limited to them alone.

Complementary Teamwork and Respect

    In the Nehemiah Team we want to achieve things together which would not be possible for us as individuals.   We are aware of our own limitations, and for this reason we need the gifts of others in the team and outside the team.   We try to recognize our differing gifts and callings, in an attitude of mutual respect, and pool them to a cooperative interaction.

Unity and Mutual Cooperation

    Unity should grow in the midst of diversity.   Therefore we try to emphasize what unites rather than what divides us.   True unity is not found by willpower or theology but in Christ.

Promotion, Support and Sensitivity

    The Nehemiah does not exist for its own sake.   Our aim is to support and build up individuals as well as other ministries and churches.   We try to be sensitive in this area, particularly when dealing with cultural issues either within Germany or abroad.

Friendship and Fatherhood

    We pass on what we are by trying to build friendships and relationships.   We want to shape people by supporting them and giving them insight into personal lives by being transparent with them.   The father heart of God is the message of our lives!

Inspiration and Transformation

    Wherever possible we want the work of the Nehemiah Team to be inspiring.   This happens through input, teaching, ideas, creativity and innovative action.   Change takes place above all through prayer, as well as through encounters, friendship, complementary support and encouragement.   Change is not a threat for us, rather it brings the potential for further development and improvement.
