Connecting people
We achieve our goal by building bridges between Christian churches, organizations, initiatives, and between those in responsibility. Our aim is to encourage, strengthen, equip and unite like-minded people. We also try to build bridges in the areas of politics and business life. Friendly relationships are important to us.
Training and support
We train Christians in various ways. We provide encouragement, teaching and support. This should help trainees to mature in character, to grow in faith, and to be equipped to take on more responsibility in their groups, churches and organizations, as well as in everyday life.
This is achieved through
- the development and supply of inter-church and church-enhancing training and support programs (seminars, conferences, schools)
- local church support in a variety of different ways (teaching, preaching, advice and counsel, church development programs)
Relief projects
Nehemiah develops or coordinates relief projects with the aim of being able to effectively meet peoples’ needs at various levels. This takes place through close cooperation with churches and relief organizations.
Bringing together those in responsibility
Establishing and maintaining ties of friendship, particularly between those in positions of responsibility in churches, business and politics who have a ‘bridging’ function, is important to us.
We do this by
- identifying and maintaining key relationships
- creating opportunities for those in positions of responsibility to get to know, and learn to trust one another
- providing a platform which makes it possible for different people, organizations or churches to work together and carry out joint projects.
Prayer initiatives
Coordination and unity is also important in the area of prayer. We want to encourage a regional network of prayer initiatives, and help strengthen existing prayer networks.
Communication
The improvement of communication structures, at both regional and international levels, should help to encourage interaction and mutual support between Christian groups who are working together.
